The project
The SUSMAT project promotes sustainable development in the construction and renovation sector, with a focus on sustainable building materials and low‑energy solutions. The project contributes to key European Union strategies such as the Renovation Wave and the European Green Deal.
SUSMAT includes the implementation of model renovation projects based on three unused historic buildings owned by local municipalities: the Gretlhäusl in Filzmoos, the Mesnerhaus in Anras and the Mesnerstadel in Mölten. These buildings will be refurbished sustainably, using regional materials and involving local companies.
The main objectives include promoting the circular economy, supporting training and awareness‑raising in the construction sector, and strengthening cross‑border and interregional cooperation.
