Activities and purpose

The project

The project promotes a culture of accessibility among tourist, museum and cultural operators in the cross-border area, as well as accessibility, inclusiveness, digitisation and the experiential character of the tourist offer, in order to increase its usability and enjoyment by all. It intervenes directly in 4 pilot sites (Vicenza, Klagenfurt, Fortezza, Tarvisio) characterised by the presence of museums and significant landscape and cultural aspects. Here it creates new contents and services (multimedia, digital and interactive contents, thematic museum and territorial itineraries, solutions for the independent visit of disabled persons, virtual tours with mapping of accessible Points of Interest, inclusive communication tools) through the use of new technologies and artistic languages, and with the involvement of local communities for an authentic narration of the places and their active participation in the valorisation of the cultural and natural heritage as a common good. Finally, the pilot sites will be connected in the PLACES museum circuit (expandable to other structures after the end of the project) that will allow remote visit and access to special contents, for the cross-border promotion of sustainable and accessible tourism.
