Activities and purpose

The project

In the age of Instagram and Twitter and smartphones with multiple cameras, this project seems a thing of the past, as if from another era. However, black and white images are back and seducing the younger generation! Perhaps it is the uniqueness of each photo that makes each shot so valuable? The challenges of development and the good (or bad) surprise of the result when you finally get to reveal the print. Knowing how to use film seems easier than it actually is, and that is where Lichtbild comes in: The program offers online courses and/or training with documentation, provided by partners. The project opens the door to archiving and digitizing film material. In addition, the “Timetrip Pics” app has been developed, allowing people to experience the historical transformation of the cities of Bruneck and Bozen in Italy and Innsbruck and Lienz in Austria through two centuries of photographic history.
