Activities and purpose

The project

The E5 green & digital project aims to enhance the European long-distance hiking trail E5 across North Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino through digitalisation and the development of sustainable tourism offers. Along the route, cultural, natural and tourism highlights are identified and promoted, tourism packages and digital information and booking solutions are developed, and services and infrastructure are improved. The project actively involves tourism organisations, local businesses and other regional stakeholders to strengthen cross-border cooperation and create a seamless visitor experience across borders. In doing so, E5 green & digital contributes to the promotion of slow tourism, the sustainable use of natural and cultural resources, and stronger regional value creation along the hiking trail.
