Volunteers in Social Work

Activities and purpose

The project

Building on the small project “Volunteer Management in Terra Raetica,” the project “Volunteers in Social Work” is being implemented in the current programming period. The goal is to strengthen the use of volunteers in social structures across the border. Particularly in the “Meals on Wheels” sector, they perform indispensable work in the Val Venosta District Community. To support them, they received high-visibility jackets and meal transport boxes, and they participated in refresher courses on the rescue chain and driving safety. Volunteer coordinators and staff were also trained, while workshops addressed “New Volunteering.” The exchange with the Landeck Volunteer Center (RegioL) promotes networking; the highlight of the project was the celebration party to thank the volunteers of the partners.
