Activities and purpose

The project

The promotion of musical culture in the CLLD HEurOpen area is the focus of the Via della Musica project, with the dual purpose of providing opportunities for cultural growth for residents and elements of attracting tourists. In addition to the creation of the “HEurOpen Alpine Youth Orchestra,” which performed concerts in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia and Carinthia, several musical ensemble events were organized. In the organization of these, special attention was paid to the involvement of schools through the participation of students in the concerts and the performance of educational activities by the musicians involved in the project. Via della Musica also means strengthening relations between project partners and those working in the field of both musical culture and tourism promotion. This is intended to ensure the long-term sustainability of the results of the project and its use as an element of tourist attraction. Between the two regions, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Carinthia, historical research was also carried out and published to promote knowledge of the regions’ peculiarities in musicology and awareness about their often little-known historical relationships.
