Activities and purpose

The project

Traditional knowledge of food production and preparation is at risk of being lost. The “NONA cooks” project aims to preserve this authentic heritage and pass it on to future generations. Cooking serves as a bridge between generations (grandparents/grandchildren) and cultures, fostering empathy and cross-border cooperation. Knowledge transfer occurs through traditional workshops and a bilingual cookbook, as well as digital formats like social media and cooking videos. Key activities include project management, cooking sessions, the creation of an ethical “Charter,” and dissemination materials for project results. The framework includes kick-off and closing events. This ensures that regional heritage is sustained while strengthening social cohesion and mutual understanding within the border region.
