IVY Volunteer Wanted!

Become part of our European programme and support the Interreg research after 2027! Would you like to live a unique experience in a cross-border area? Would you like to learn more about European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg) and help shape the future of this programme? Then this opportunity is for you!

The Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Italy-Austria Programme is looking for an IVY Volunteer, from June or July until the end of 2024, for 4-6 months. IVY stands for “Interreg Volunteer Youth”, an initiative of the European Commission managed by the AEBR (Association of European Cross-border Regions) to involve young people aged between 18 and 30 years in a volunteering opportunity for programmes within the European Territorial Cooperation, better known as Interreg. An experience based on fostering a sense of European belonging, citizenship and civic engagement.

As an IVY volunteer you can help us in the research on the future of our Interreg programme and carry out the following activities:

• Supporting the development of the consultation plan: The Post2027 survey for citizens and beneficiaries will be a main task;
• Identification of key stakeholders and target groups;
  Consultation;
• Stakeholder engagement: Prepare consultation material, contact stakeholders, including at the local level, and obtain their input;
• Evaluation of contributions, analysis of results.

If the programme requires it or if you are interested, you can also explore other areas or take on small tasks in the context of other (communication) activities. The work will be varied and allow you to come into contact with different people; you will also be able to visit the projects on the field and to do interviews!

As a volunteer, you will receive financial support of EUR 32 per day (including weekends and public holidays).
The place of work is Bolzano, Italy, a city in the heart of the Alps offering a rich cultural and natural diversity. You need to know German, Italian and English at C1 level to be able to communicate with the various partners and stakeholders.
