European Youth Week 2024
The European Youth Week 2024 will take place from April 12th to 19th! Organised by the EC, it aims to celebrate and promote the engagement and participation of young people across Europe and beyond, and to make them visible.
A project with and for young people is SCET-NET (Without Borders Education and Training Network): It helps young people in the border region to get in touch with potential employers and to find internships on both sides of the border. Lead Partner (FVG) is the EGTC Euregio Without Borders. The project won 3rd place in the European Project Slam 2023! The Interreg Slam is a storytelling competition sponsored by Interact and focused on the theme of skills. Watch the video here.
Young people are successfully involved in the CLLD MoJa funding project: Mobile youth work is organised differently in the CLLD Terra Raetica area. While mobile youth work takes place in the district of Landeck, it is still being developed in Vinschgau. The project finances the work of a mobile youth worker and the networking of youth centres in the district, as well as the development of mobile youth work in Vinschgau. Joint cross-border activities create added value for all those involved in the project.
Another example is the small CLLD project “Sommerkamp” in the CLLD Dolomiti Live area, which has been repeated several times due to its success. The municipality of Innervillgraten and the Plodar/Sappada Association organise a joint summer camp for children and young people from both sides of the border. Participants spend part of the camp in the partner municipality. The programme includes language lessons, conversation, sports, games and activities.
