EU Funding for Communication
Cross-border cooperation thrives when it is visible and understood. Currently, the European Commission offers two exciting opportunities to fund projects in the fields of information and media.
Those wishing to show people locally how EU funding strengthens their own region can apply for the “Information measures for Cohesion policy” (IMREG) call. The programme supports campaigns, events, or innovative projects that demonstrate the concrete benefits of Europe in everyday life. This is primarily aimed at universities, schools, associations, and public bodies that want to share knowledge and promote dialogue. Submissions are open until 15 January 2026.
In addition, the EU offers support for the media sector through the “Creative Europe” programme. The focus here is on cross-border partnerships between editorial offices and media outlets. The goal is to strengthen journalism in Europe and deepen cooperation between neighbouring countries. The deadline is 4 February 2026.
We invite interested organisations from our programme area to take advantage of these opportunities. You can find all details and documents directly on the European Commission portal.
