Premiere of the Brass Band Terra Raetica
A Musical Highlight of Terra Raetica
On Sunday, October 13, 2024, a concert by the Brass Band Terra Raetica took place in the multipurpose hall in Tschlin.
The event, organized as part of an Interreg CLLD small project, offered visitors a special musical experience. Under the musical direction of Tristan Uth and project management by Roberto Donchi, musicians from various village bands in the CLLD area of Terra Raetica came together. The concert was the result of intensive workshops in which the musicians expanded their skills and collaboratively developed unique pieces of music. For three weeks, 35 musicians worked together under the direction of Tristan Uth, a professional conductor. According to him, the quality of the music exceeded expectations. The performance began at 5:00 PM, but guests were already invited to a reception with an aperitif starting at 4:15 PM.
The Brass Band Terra Raetica is composed of members from the following music associations:
- South Tyrol: Musikkapelle Mals, St. Valentin, Burgeis, Matsch, Latsch, Tarsch;
- Lower Engadine / Val Müstair: Società da Musica Aurora Sta. Maria-Valchava, Ramosch, Sent, Tschlin, Zernez, Musica Concordia Müstair, Musikgesellschaft Samnaun;
- Tirol: Musikkapelle Nauders.
The collaboration of the various music associations from South Tyrol, Lower Engadine, Val Müstair, and Tirol is a prime example of cross-border cooperation in Terra Raetica. The musicians impressed with a variety of different pieces of music. A total of 250 spectators attended the event.
