Permafrost monitoring in the Alpine region

The FROST.INI project is pleased to invite you to an exclusive Stakeholder Workshop in Cortina d’Ampezzo on April 14, 2026.

The event will focus on permafrost monitoring in Alpine environments—a subject of increasing relevance for the safety and long-term maintenance of high-altitude infrastructure. Taking place directly within the Tofane study area, the workshop offers a platform for dialogue between researchers and practitioners. Participants will explore the findings of the 2025 cross-border survey and review the initial geological and environmental assessments of the project’s pilot sites. The objective is to discuss the specific challenges faced by mountain stakeholders and highlight innovative, forward-looking monitoring solutions.
