Project ATTENTION: On the way to a waste-free future in the construction sector

On October 22, 2024, the partners of the ATTENTION project met in Salzburg to discuss the latest developments and plan the next steps. The ATTENTION project aims to revolutionize the construction sector by promoting sustainability and innovation through cross-border collaboration. The meeting, organized by the ZAB Zukunftsagentur Bau, took place at LOFT Salzburg and offered a spectacular view of the city. The goals of the project include improving circular processes in the construction sector and creating a cross-border network of HUBs that offer circular economy services. The main activities during the project include the analysis of best practices and the selection of innovative services for the 5 project HUBs in Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, South Tyrol, Tyrol, and Salzburg, planning future activities for the implementation of the HUBs in 2025, and the creation of an app/website to support companies in choosing services.

The following day, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the partners were invited by ZAB Zukunftsagentur Bau to the Alte Saline in Hallein to participate in the conference “Rethink.Reuse.Recycle,” co-organized by ZAB, where various Austrian experts from the construction sector spoke about new technologies, new tools, and new methods of recycling and reusing materials for constructing the buildings of the future. The event concluded with a farewell dinner among the various partners.
