Partner Meeting EQUALIT-A’

Empowering Communities for Gender Equity & enhanced Quality of Governance in Italy and Austria.

On September 25th and 26th, 2025, the partners of the Interreg EQUALIT-A’ project gathered in the municipality of Irschen, Austria, for an update on the project strategy and the launch of the next phases. All partners were present at the kick-off event: the 6 project partners GAL Prealpi e Dolomiti, Chamber of Commerce of Treviso-Belluno, Municipality of Belluno, Municipality of Feltre, Gemeinde Irschen, LAG Großglockner/Mölltal-Oberdrautal, and the 3 associated partners GECT “Euregio Senza Confini”, Veneto Region – Labour Directorate, and Wirtschaftskammer Kärnten. The results of the first project phase were discussed: the interviews and analysis regarding the current state of gender equality in the Austrian federal state of Carinthia and in the Province of Belluno.

Based on these results, the partners reflected on a possible territorial governance strategy. The goal is to identify the correct areas of intervention where significant actions can be carried out to achieve a paradigm shift in gender equality within the territorial contexts of the involved partners. The Municipality of Irschen, as the host partner, also organized a visit to the Irschen Herb Garden, managed by a cooperative of 80 female farmers. Furthermore, a workshop was held on Weissensee, where partners participated in this networking event of the WoMentoring network, combining interactive activities with guided reflections on the topic of “Female Leadership in Carinthia and Belluno.”
