Meet&Match at Lake Wörthersee

On January 21, 2025, over 100 project partners from Tyrol, South Tyrol, Salzburg, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Carinthia met at the Casineum Velden near Lake Wörthersee.

The aim of the event was to promote cooperation between the border regions in Italy and Austria. The event, organized by Carinthia and the Carinthian Economic Development Fund with the support of EUROPE DIRECT Carinthia, provided an ideal platform for exchanging and developing cross-border project ideas. In interactive workshops and an innovative speed dating format, participants not only shared their business cards but also their creative ideas and visions. Certified as a “Green Event,” the event emphasized sustainability and environmental awareness.

Special emphasis was placed on the priority axes 1) “Innovation and Business” and 2) “Climate Change and Biodiversity.” Under the motto “Peer to peer,” participants exchanged concepts, developed new ideas, and formed valuable partnerships. The atmosphere was characterized by openness and the understanding that true innovations arise through dialogue and joint problem-solving.

“Meet&Match” offered the opportunity to ask general questions about the funding of Interreg cooperation projects and was a welcome opportunity to build connections. The event demonstrated how important personal exchange is for promoting Interreg cooperation projects.
