Kick-Off-Meeting: WORK-FAIR

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Kick-Off Meeting of the WORK-FAIR project will take place. The event will begin at 10:00 AM and will be held at the Customs Museum in Coccau (Italy).

This meeting marks the official start of an important project aimed at creating an innovative and integrated system to support cross-border workers commuting between the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, and Carinthia.

WORK-FAIR, funded under the second call of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Austria Program 2021-2027, was launched to address a key challenge: the lack of adequate tools to monitor workflows, skills, and obstacles faced by workers in the three involved regions. The project offers practical solutions to fill this gap by developing a cross-border database to track and monitor commuter flows between the regions and a virtual information portal providing updated and easily accessible information for both workers and employers.

The expected outcomes of the project include enhanced cross-border cooperation, the creation of a unified information system, and the development of tools to establish a permanent observatory on cross-border labor. These efforts will significantly contribute to better integration of the labor markets of the three regions involved.

The project is being implemented by the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) Euregio Senza Confini (Lead Partner) in collaboration with the Interregional Trade Union Council (ITUC) Friuli Venezia Giulia – Carinthia (Project Partner).

The Kick-Off Meeting will provide an opportunity to present the project’s objectives and activities in detail. The event will be attended by experts, stakeholders, and professionals from the sector, and will include a final open discussion session to exchange opinions and ideas.
