5th EU Report on Macro-Regional Strategies

Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00 the European Commission invites you to the presentation of its fifth report on the implementation of the EU macro-regional strategies.

The event will take place at the European House in Budapest and will be simultaneously broadcast online, allowing participation from anywhere.
The report highlights the progress and developments in four macro-regions between 2022 and 2024: Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR), Danube Region (EUSDR), Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR), and Alpine Region (EUSALP). The results and key statements of the report will be presented. A focus will be on optimizing governance structures and strengthening the involvement of all relevant stakeholders. Additionally, innovative approaches to promote synergies beyond the boundaries of the strategies will be discussed, enhancing their collective impact and regional cohesion.
The keynote speaker will be Johan Magnusson, Senior Expert of the Directorate-General for Regional Policy and Urban Development (GD REGIO) of the European Commission. He will present the results and be available for a subsequent discussion.
